Jacob Badger, PhD

Jacob Badger, PhD

Founder & CEO

Jacob is a specialist in high performance computing and applied mathematics. He earned his PhD from the University of Texas at Austin, where his groundbreaking thesis introduced a scalable solver for frequency-domain wave problems—capable of handling simulations up to 1,000 times larger than previously possible. While that early work helped redefine the limits of frequency-domain wave simulation, it relied on large supercomputers that were out of reach for many applications. Jacob founded FrequenSol in 2023 to build the next generation of wave simulation and imaging software, leveraging advances in mathematics, algorithms, and computer hardware to revolutionize efficiency and make these tools accessible to domain scientists and engineers.
